MISSION STATEMENT
Our responsibility is obtaining and organizing resources and information, to advance the understanding and the treatment of, Autism, ASD, and associated disorders.
Our short term goal is to unify the therapeutic treatments, so that the most effective programs are available to you and your child.
Our long term goal is to identify the underlying environmental causes and eliminate them.
REQUIREMENTS
While the worlds attention may be focused on the similarities in each of the Autism disorders, we will strive to appreciate the unique qualities of each person affected by Autism, ASD, or associated disorders.
We will not hold preconceived notions as to a persons intelligence or value, based on any diagnosis.
We expect great things and great futures for all our children.
Our attitude is 100% positive.
OBLIGATIONS
Assist in the tremendous task of identifying those children which are afflicted with Autism, ASD, ADHD, Asperger's, PDD-NOS, and related conditions.
Offer the assistance of the American Autism Association to any person that comes to you for help. Please, give them our name and web address.
LIMITATIONS
You may NOT use your membership in the
AMERICAN AUTISM ASSOCIATION as an endorsement or
"seal of approval", for any product, person, political or personal agenda, treatment or therapy.
Any endorsements, shall be made only after a vote and approval by the board of directors. All publications of the American Autism Association, are copyrighted.
Entitlements
As a member you will receive immediate notification of developments in the Autism community. You will receive advance notification of all sponsored events. You will be kept abreast of scientific research in Autism, ASD, and associated disorders.
